Today’s Meeting Schedule-

- 7th grade class meeting in Mrs. Hutton’s room following announcements

- Freshman class meeting in Miss McMillin’s room following announcements

 

Today’s Sport/ Activity Schedule

- The Softball District games are this Saturday at 10:30, 12:30, and possibly 2:30 at the quads softball complex in Caldwell off of Smeed Parkway.  Coach Lamb would appreciate any support in rooting on our Lady Pirates!!!  Cost is $5.00 to enter

- HS Volleyball open gym tonight from 3:30 – 6:00

 


Upcoming Meeting Schedule-

- Sophomores… you have a class meeting on Tuesday, May 18th to elect class officers.  If you plan on running for an office, please have your brief speech ready to give on Tuesday

 


Upcoming Sport / Activity Schedule-

- 5th and 6th grade music concert Thursday in the elementary gym

- District Track begins tomorrow

Jr. High & High School Announcements-

The end of the year BBQ will be the last day of school. Students are again in charge of bringing things for the BBQ.

This is the break down for the classes

 

11th: Drinks (these need to be individual drinks, like a 12 pack of coke or a case of water, not 2-liter, etc.)

10th: Chips

9th: Cookies

8th: Plates, Napkins, ketchup, mustard and relish

7th: Buns. We are hoping to get the big, good hot dogs, so if they could get the big, good buns that would be fabulous

 

We feed approximately 250 students/staff, so please plan accordingly. If students do not bring their items then we could go without enough buns or plates, etc. Students PLEASE remember to bring your items!!!

 

A student has borrowed a keyboarding book from Miss Hatfield and she would like it back please.

 

Wilder Chamber of Commerce is offering a $1000 scholarship to Notus High School seniors. If you would like to apply, please obtain an application form from Mrs. Webberley.

 

All library books are now due back to the library.  If you are not sure if you still have a library book checked out, please check with Mrs. Villines, or there is a list posted in the library.

 

Seniors – if you have been awarded any scholarship money, please see Mrs. Webberley

 

6th grade orientation will be today May 12 from 1:00 to 3:00

 

There will be a sign up sheet in the office for any upcoming 8th grade girl that is interested in playing volleyball next year. The sign-up will be in the office all this week. Please make sure that you take a flyer as well with all the information for the upcoming season. Please print your contact number clearly so I can get a hold of you if needed. WE are looking forward to a wonderful upcoming season! Go Pirates!!!

 

The Notus High School Ensemble choir will be holding auditions for next year’s elite choir group on May 17 – 18.  Pick up information and sign up for an audition time at the office.  See Mrs. Harrel if you have any questions.

 

The Rotary Youth Leadership Award camp, a youth leadership training program, will be held in August at CSI. Any sophomore, junior, or senior who would like to apply, please see Mrs. Webberley. Two applicants will be chosen to attend and their tuition will be paid by the Caldwell Rotary Club.

 

Any Junior who is interested in running for an office, please see Mrs. Peterson for the descriptions and application…

 

All Student Body applications need to be turned in to Miss Hatfield by tomorrow

 

Don’t forget to order a yearbook if you want one!!!

 

There are still a few drivers training spots left – info. is at the office!

For patron information:

Given the financial budget issues facing Notus School District, the Board trustees have recommended the following fees for 2010 and beyond.

1) Notus School District intends on raising the activity fee for students $3.00 for the upcoming school year.

2) Notus School District intends on requesting a $25.00 per sport fee for any student participating in extracurricular activities in the Jr. and Sr. High School.

 

The School Board trustees invite patron participation on May 13th during the public hearing for notice of fee increase @ 6:00 p.m.
