The softball team is selling cinnamon buns, and orders are due by this Thursday

 

Any student who is preparing for a career in healthcare and would like to volunteer at West Valley Medical Center, see Mrs. Webberley. This is an excellent opportunity for students to acquire community service hours while exploring a career in the medical field. After 50 hours of service, volunteers are eligible to apply for a $1000 scholarship.

 

This Thursday, a representative from Stevens-Henager College will be available during seminar in the library to talk to all interested students who are interested in healthcare, business, graphic arts, or computer technology.

 

Sr.’s, if you ordered announcements, they are in.  You can pick them up from Mrs. Peterson. 

 

Juniors, all Stampede tickets and money for sold tickets is due today.  Please turn your money in to Mrs. Peterson

 

Attention all Junior High students…..Do not leave your books, bags, coats, or anything in the halls or on the benches in the halls.  All of your items need to be left in your cubby or locker.  

 

Any student between the ages of 15 and 18 who is interested in summer work at Yellowstone National Park should contact Mrs. Webberley for details.

 

Attention high school girls!  Need a dress for prom but don’t have the big bucks to buy one?  Cinderella’s Closet in Nampa will open April 1 for girls to borrow a formal dress for the prom.  They have over 400 dresses in sizes 0 to 24.  Cost is only $10.  See Miss Webberley for more details!

 

Attention all potential cheer and yell leaders (female and male students in grades 6-11). Cheer camp week is April 12-17. Monday-Friday camp will be held from 6 pm-8 pm. Saturday camp will be held from 10- noon. Saturday camp is mandatory for anyone who misses a day during the week due to other school activities. Saturday camp is encouraged for those who attend every day of camp during the week. Tryouts will be held Wednesday, April 21 at 6pm. All camp participants must wear a Notus t shirt and solid black shorts throughout the camp and at tryouts. There is no fee for cheer camp. For questions see Mrs. Shelden.

 

Seniors, Be sure to check out the scholarship binder in the library. New scholarship info has been added.

 

Drivers Training will begin May 27th and is limited to first come first served, information is at the office.

Tuesday will be baseball, softball and track pictures, as well as individual pictures and Sr. pictures.  Picture forms are on the front counter at the office.  Individual pictures do not need to be pre-paid, you will receive a picture proof in a couple weeks and then be able to decide if you would like to order yours.  The sports and Sr. pictures will need to be pre-paid.

We will be having a school assembly this afternoon, please remember to walk to the gym quietly when you are released.

PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES- Tonight from 2:00-5:00 and then 6:00-8:00 p.m.

 

FRIDAY NO SCHOOL

 

Individual Spring Pictures and Spring Sports Pictures (track, baseball, softball) and Sr. Pictures will be taken on Tuesday March 30 – the day after we return from spring break.  These pictures DO NOT have to be pre-paid, you will receive a photo proof to decide if you would like to order them.  If you would like your pictures taken, there are forms at the office to fill out.

There will be a parent meeting for the Freshman Class to begin planning the 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament on Monday, March 15th at 5:00 pm in Mrs. Hutton's room. Please ask your parents to attend!

 

National honor society is sponsoring a Notus Got Talent! If your inner talent is yearning to get out, let it!! If you can sing, do magic tricks, or anything else contact Larie Trotter or Mrs. Burwell in room 125 to sign up.

Baseball player owe $45.00 for their uniforms. Please make checks payable to Notus High School

 

Junior High Track will be starting March 17th. Since we have early release, practice will go from 1:40-2:40. Please be sure to have a ride here at 2:40. We will meet outside by the basketball courts. Remember to dress for the weather and bring water. There will be a sign up sheet on the office counter this week. Please stop by and sign it if you want to participate. Hope to see you there!

 

All seniors, Ms. Hatfield will be available on today and Monday during seminar if you would like to go through your presentation with her.

 

All seniors who would like a copy of the Presentation rubric need to see Ms. Hatfield by today.

 

Seniors if you have special room requests for your senior presentations, you need to see Ms. Hatfield no later than Wednesday during seminar.
